Canvas printing website ready for Christmas rush
Prints R Us is a Melbourne-based online photo canvas printing business. A few weeks ago I spent a couple of days rewriting almost all content for their website, and their revamped website (it also has a new look) has just been launched.
Their web pages now have loads of useful information, incorporate all their important SEO keywords, especially on their individual product pages, and should entice visitors to submit their images online for a free evaluation or order a photo canvas or one of their other photo printing products.
Besides the wellknown photo canvas (I like the ones with ‘gallery wrap’, i.e. the photo is stretched around the edges), they can also print and affix your high-res photo or poster on a thin wooden board for a professionally mounted print (block mounting) or for a ligher, perhaps temporary solution, mount it on a foam board (foam mounting). They also do normal, but very professional photo printing, but the product that really stood out for me is what they call ‘framed canvas blocs’.
It’s difficult to explain what framed canvas blocs are (they’re a new ‘invention’), you’ll have to check it out on the Prints R Us website, but basically it’s a canvas print of your photo that’s fixed inside a thick wooden block frame that you can simply place anywhere. It’s unlike any photo frame you’ve ever seen. Because they’re new, unique, very stylish and not expensive, they make excellent gifts – that’s how Prints R Us market them and I agree.
For all these products you simply upload your own images online and they will check whether they’re suitable for the product you’re ordering. You’ll get your image home-delivered within a week.
Now that they’ve got their excellent website content, they’re ready for the world (well… Australia mostly) to come and visit their website and check out their products – which make fabulous Christmas gifts!
OK – Just thought I’d share a typical SEO web copywriting (rewriting) job with the readers of my blog.
Writing about Coffs Coast’s beautiful natural attractions!
7 October 2008:
Check out a couple of things I’ve done recently:
I’ve written a whole new Nature-based Tourism section for the Coffs Coast website, suggesting things to do & see on the Coffs Coast – the region surrounding Coffs Harbour NSW – for nature lovers. It’s got bushwalks, lookout points, picnic spots, waterfalls, wildlife, outdoor adventure and more.
For the same site, I’ve also rewritten all the pages about Coffs Coast’s National Parks - coastal fringes, mountains, waterfalls, rivers and rainforests in Coffs Harbour, Bellingen, Dorrigo and the surrounding region. Researching and writing these sections has reminded me what a beautiful piece of the earth I’m lucky enough to live in – and has made me want to go out there and enjoy it more often!
Another interesting project I completed a few weeks ago is writing new SEO content for the website of a Chinese company called Busycode (for outsourcing of Flex development).
I’m currently looking into putting a WordPress blog on my website so I can post news and articles in a more organised way. So keep posted, it shouldn’t be long now!
My Content Writer business is going great!
12 September 2008:
It’s been a month since my launch, so here’s a little update on how things are going… they’re going great!
I’ve been keeping busy with various copywriting jobs and doing on-site SEO for a couple of websites. One of them is Perfect Entertainment, a group of DJs for weddings and events in Newcastle and the Hunter Valley (NSW). We also revamped their website with a new design.
I wrote and edited copy for a new 100+ page compendium for Coffs Coast Conferences, to be published soon, which aims to attract conferences and business tourism to beautiful Coffs Harbour.
I will also soon start work on a website for Park Beach Physiotherapy who provide physiotherapy and Pilates in Coffs Harbour.
And yes, I am linking keywords in here, which is an accepted SEO technique…!
Quick & simple new website created for mayoral candidate
16 August 2008:
I have created a very basic but very functional HTML/CSS website for Councillor Bill Palmer within two days. Cr Palmer is standing for Mayor in the Coffs Harbour City Council elections on 13 September 2008. He is the oldest candidate but he seems to be the only one with his own website.
Besides my personal belief that any serious mayoral candidate should have a website in this day and age, it’s an excellent way to increase Bill’s visibility and make him and his views on issues better known within the Coffs Harbour community.
The website is very simple but is search engine optimised and contains all the imporant information about the candidate, his views and the elections. Website: Coffs Harbour Council elections Mayoral candidate Bill Palmer.
